IT Park Phases II and III: SC orders status quo on land acquisition

In a significant development and a blow to the Chandigarh Administration, the Supreme Court today ordered status quo on the acquisition of land for the Rajiv Gandhi Information Technology Park, Phase II and III. Status quo would mean that no acquisition or construction would take place till further orders of the apex court.
